Choose the top up method that suits you:
Online top up
Top up your registered AT HOP card online.
If you add funds via your online account before 10pm on any day, those funds should be available on your card and in your online account the next day when you tag on to an AT HOP reader or go through the electronic gates at a train station. In some cases it may take up to 72 hours for funds to be available on your AT HOP card and in your online account.
Please note that a failure to tag on at an AT HOP reader or electronic gate at a train station within 60 days of your online top up will result in that top up expiring. Top up now
Auto Top-Up online
Auto Top-Up helps to ensure you always have enough funds in your AT HOP account to pay your fare. When your AT HOP balance drops below a certain amount your account is topped up automatically. Your AT HOP card must be registered to set up an Auto Top-Up Register your card.
Top up your AT HOP card using Top-Up machines at train stations across Auckland. Follow the instructions on the machine to top up on the spot.
Top up in person
If you'd prefer to top up your AT HOP card in person, you can do it over the counter at the Britomart, New Lynn, Newmarket and Papakura Ticket Offices or at AT Customer Service Centres. You can also top up at Fullers Ticket Offices at Pier 1 Downtown Ferry Terminal, Devonport Ferry Terminal, Waiheke Ferry Terminal and selected retail outlets. Find a retailer.
Top up fees
There is a 25 cent fee on all one-off top ups. There are no fees for loading Monthly Passes or for Auto Top-Ups online.
